Who we are
Hobart Tattoos is a tattoo studio run by Bruno at 8 Bayfield St, Rosny Park TAS 7018, Australia. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit this website or contact us, and how we use it. We aim to follow the Australian Privacy Principles.
What this website collects
This website has no forms, no accounts and no shopping cart, and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Like most websites, our web host may keep basic server logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visited, to keep the site secure and working. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers. Google's own privacy policy applies to that connection.
If we add website analytics in future, we'll update this page first.
When you message us on Instagram
Bookings are made by direct message on Instagram. When you message us, we receive what you choose to send, such as your name, Instagram handle, tattoo idea, placement, reference photos and photos of your skin or existing tattoos.
We use this only to reply to you, quote, design and book your tattoo, and to help with aftercare and touch-ups. Instagram is run by Meta, and Meta's privacy policy covers how they handle your messages on their platform.
At your appointment
Before tattooing we check photo ID to confirm you are 18 or over, and we may ask about health matters that affect tattooing and healing. Where we're required to keep client records under Tasmanian health regulations for tattooists, we store them securely and only for as long as the law requires.
Photos of your tattoo
Bruno often photographs finished work. We'll ask before sharing a photo of your tattoo on Instagram or this website, and we avoid showing faces or identifying features unless you're happy for us to. If you'd like a photo removed, message us and we'll take it down.
Sharing your information
We don't sell, rent or trade your information. We only share it if the law requires us to, for example with a health authority.
Your choices
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we're not required to keep it. Send us a direct message on Instagram at @brulhos.tattoo and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
